It is expected that with this mandatory regulation, the number of accidents and casualties can be brought down by as much as 80%. Many of the boating insurance companies are offering discounts on the insurance policies, for those who have taken or are willing to take a boating safety course. Such regulations will hopefully make the waters safer for the boats as well as the people inside the boat.
