Joe's Special
From western trout to southern small-mouth, east coast striper to Alaska salmon, fish a legend and fish the future- Joes?s Flies. Each pattern produced has been thoroughly tested by a staff combining over 150 years of fishing experience. Joe's Flies introduced the Short Striker style spinner fly in 1961. Accept no imitations. Joe's Flies Short-Strikers are not only the originator but the "benchmark" of quality in the spinner fly industry. Short-Strikers are available in 2 sizes. Size 8 being the "standard" size and a perfect choice for most fishing situations. Size 10 being approximately 30% smaller and normally chosen when a more "delicate" or "less intrusive" presentation is desired. Joe's Flies recommends fishing the Short Striker on light/ultra light spincasting tackle. The spinner is best tied directly to 4 to 8 lb monofililament. The use of a swivel is not recccomended. The Spinner itself features a clip allowing the fly to be changed while the spinner remains attached to the line. The trailing treble is easily removed in "catch and release" areas. |
