The innovative weighted Wedgehead V Lock Jighead System offers anglers a new twist in soft plastic rigging. A wedge-shaped coil spring locks any plastic bait tight to the hook eye. This allows the bait to go into places where people previously wouldn't think of throwing a lure. Spring is built with strong stainless wire. The tapered Wedge V Lock spring self-centers when lining up on any bait. The tighter one screws it in, the tighter the plastic stays on the hook. This allows you to catch several fish without having to readjust the bait each time. The Wedgehead V Lock jighead system contains a 1/8-ounce boat-shaped weight attached to the upper hook shaft. The uniquely designed jighead allows soft plastic baits to "plain" over grasses or slide through weeds effortlessly. With baits running nose high, anglers can work soft plastics like topwater baits or allow them to sink and wobble down.
