DockEdge has once again developed, and further improved the strength and design of our whips, with the use of our exclusive cross-wound fibre technology and newly developed fibres. The economical way to fasten your boat, these fiberglass WHIPS are exceptionally strong, attractive and will not obstruct your waterfront view. Acting as a spring, each whip is comprised of solid, fiberglass rod. Then, to give addditional strength, we have added additional crosswound layers for extra rigidity unobtainable with a solid rod alone.
Each whip mounts into a durable cast aluminum base. DockEdge base is superior to other bases due to its solid cast aluminum design with molded-in cleat , ring and convenient thumb screw for securing the whip into position. It is unaffected by UV and cannot be damaged when securing to the dock due to it?s tough 3/8" thick mounting footprint. Each whip also includes a tie-off cleat and unique tip with a functional roller which allows easier acces to your boat. By simply releasing the whip line from the tie-off cleat, the whip lines effortlessly roll through the unique roller tip causing the boat to gently approach the dock for boarding. Each WHIP is constructed to the most rigid specifications and is of the highest quality, Patented materials. Available in 8' and 12' sizes for craft from 18 to 23 ft. and up to 5000 lb. * Replacement whips for these sizes also available individually. |
